We used FA Design Build for our kitchen renovation this year, and were so pleased with the process, we also hired them to refinish the 75 year old wood floors throughout the house.

We connected with Melissa from a referral when we were struggling to get a design build firm to give us the time of day due to our budget. FA Design and Melissa specifically both (1) respected our budget and worked with us, but also (2) provided alternatives that may change the budget but with no pressure to go with a more expensive option.

Ultimately the design & contract negotiation process took a few months, which I appreciated because of the care and attention to every minute detail. Melissa was very available and responsive when we had communication feedback, and ultimately helped us design an absolutely stunning kitchen we never could have come up with on our own.

Robbie was our site manager and he was also really excellent to work with. He was responsive and available via text/call, and his attention to detail and respect for our input helped build and maintain our confidence throughout the process. The workers who came every day were respectful and efficient and the work they did was really well done. When a cabinet part was damaged, Robbie quickly ordered a replacement and the team installed it so well, you'd never know it wasn't the original part.

We would absolutely consider and hire FA Design again in the future, and look forward to an opportunity to work together. 🙂

The workmanship was outstanding, and we are very pleased with the result. The cabinets are high quality, and we love the little touches the designer used to utilize all the available space. We added a dry bar and love that too. Communication during the rehab was constant and updated, so we always knew what steps were coming next and when they would be done. Great job!

I put off my bathroom renovation for over a year because I just didn’t want the chaos and I hadn’t found a company I was comfortable using. One Saturday I convinced my daughter to go to a seminar at FA Design and met Melissa. I knew that day I would use them. Melissa understood what I needed, she returned emails promptly, she did a site visit to discuss my needs and within a couple of weeks I was back in the showroom selecting materials. Did everything run smoothly? Does any Reno? Of course there were some glitches, but Barry, the project manager, always kept me informed. He would call every night to tell me who was coming the next day and what time to expect them and slowly the pile of materials began to shrink. It was about three months from start to finish, but I have a new primary bath that works much better for me and seems much larger and kitchen cabinets that were painted a beautiful green. Check out Sherman Williams Alexandrite if you’re thinking of green. The painters for the kitchen were fabulous and my cabinets look brand new.
I recommend FA DesignBuild 100% and have two neighbors who are now working with the firm after seeing my result.

We contracted FA Design + Build to remodel our kitchen and replace the flooring across our main floor.

The end result is amazing. Our kitchen is bright, beautiful and so much fun to cook in! The original footprint of the kitchen was not functional and our original designer sat down and listened to what worked and didn’t. The end result reflected just that.

Keeping in mind that we decided to start this remodel during the pandemic, we had to manage our expectations when it came to timelines and availability of materials. The supply chain issues were no joke. We ran into that with our first choice of flooring, as well as the delivery dates for our new appliances - none of which rested on FA. In fact, we are much, much happier with our second choice flooring, so that worked out!

We absolutely loved working with Rocky. He was an amazing resource and someone we counted on as first timers.

This project wasn’t without issues. We were looking for a running timeline and could never quite get one. We created our own punch-list and shared it at regular intervals to ensure that nothing fell through the proverbial cracks. Towards the end of the project, we experienced a blackout in communication, where emails, calls and texts to our POC went unanswered. We were understandably frustrated, but were eventually able to get our punch list items resolved.

We learned plenty of lessons from this experience and know what to expect the next time. What matters most is that we are happy with the end result. Our kitchen is now an amazing space that brings us a lot of joy every single time.

FA Design did a wonderful job. We are so happy with our new kitchen. Our design consultant (MF) was brilliant and patient. She helped us turn our inspirations and thoughts into a tangible and beautiful design. The build team led by RW was meticulous and considerate, and maintained daily communications and information flow. All design changes were handled professionally and amicably and we felt we got what we wanted for a fair and reasonable price. Thank you, FA Design for bringing our 40 year-old bathroom into the 21st Century! Though the bathroom was quite large, we had outgrown the sunken tub and single sink. After interviewing several other contractors, we signed FA’s “Design Services Retainer Agreement” in August, 2021 and completed and signed a detailed contract at the end of January, 2022. Due to the pandemic, we experienced delays in procuring the cabinetry, tiles, and bathtub, which delayed demolition until June, 2022. The project was finished at the end of November, 2022. It was a long time coming, but we are very pleased with the final master bathroom FA Design helped us design and constructed for us.

Once demolition and construction began, we worked very closely with the construction team and project managers on a daily basis. Headed by project manager, Barry Nguyen, Marvin and his crew did a masterful job. We especially appreciated Marvin’s careful attention to detail and his drive. One evening we came home late to discover a slow leak in the newly installed shower pipe. After wiping up the water and placing a bucket to catch the drips, we sent a text with video to Robbie Wickline, expecting to hear back from him the next morning. Instead, Robbie responded immediately! As with most home improvements, we encountered unexpected materials changes and delays to the original plan, but the FA Design Team - Robbie, Barry, Jeremy, Nate - worked with us to make things right.

Renovated my master bath by converting the bath into a shower, replacing all tiling, flooring, cabinets, lighting, mirrors, toilet, all fixtures and even added a sliding pocket door. FA Design walked me through the entire project from beginning to end. I worked initially with the Interior Designer who was patient in helping me figure out what best fit my style who then referred me the Project Lead when construction began. Both were fabulous and a joy to work with. Any issues that came up were quickly brought to my attention and we were able to work through them. The bathroom turned out to be gorgeous. I feel like I’m walking into a spa everyday. Sleek, clean, and contemporary. Total cost was a bit over $30k; expensive when compared to other renovations for this size bathroom I researched but the quality service, increase in supplies post-COVID, and that I had seen their work before when I had a busted pipe leak in my basement, took a chance and it was worth it.
