Did an absolute great job. Was considering another person for this job, excellent in carpentry, look at it after the job was finished and said you did an excellent job. He couldn't have did a better job, it was tight, clean and well done. I was amazed, when they were bring in the products, the deliveries were timely and come right on time without any lag time in-between. Hopefully I'll be able to get the bottom deck supports wrapped some day.

Needed to replace my old deck, it was 12x24 raised up about 8 feet off of the ground. Crew came out and removed old deck built new deck in about a week. Crew was very good and did excellent work. Deck is super strong and well built. There were some minor issues I pointed out during construction and they took care of them right away. Upgraded from wood to Trex and it looks GREAT. Everything was done on schedule and the crew was easy to work with, I would recommend them to others to use.

The installation of our new picket and privacy fences were completed recently. We're THRILLED with how great it all looks. Simon and David worked tirelessly building the fence from scratch in order to meet the specifications of the design. The quality and craftsmanship of their work was impressive.

I had called several deck companies over a few years for estimates. We had a large deck that was built in the 80s that was in need of replacement and I wanted to make it a little bigger. The details in the other estimates I received showed that those other companies didn’t really listen to what I wanted but we needed a new deck. I knew that it wasn’t going to be cheap but other companies tried to convince me that I wanted a smaller one. The owner of FA Outdoor Spaces came out for the estimate, he understood what I wanted and he gave me a very competitive estimate that clearly beat all the others because I was going to get what I wanted - the Trex decking, a nice railing, and the large size that I wanted. After discussing the size options, and the cost differences, it was clear that they were listening to me and I was the person who got to decide what I wanted - like it should be. Everyone we worked with was fantastic. Each member of the crew that tore down the old deck and built the new one was great! We would look and ask questions as the build was progressing and they always explained everything and asked how we wanted certain things to look before continuing whenever there was an option. The best part is that our new deck looks amazing! It is built to last, it is big, and we are so happy with it! ! I am so glad we found FA Outdoor Spaces. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to friends. Thank you to everyone at FA Outdoor Spaces who made my dream deck a reality.

I would highly recommend!
I had my existing 2nd story deck replaced. They were upfront about price and potential issues they may run into. There was no ‘high pressure sales’ gimmicks (if you sign today, we’ll give you a bigger discount, etc)
1/3 down to book the project.
Final payment when completed.
Crew was professional, on time and answered all my questions.
Cleanup was also impressive-very few ‘bits’ of the demolished deck left in landscaping. Could barely tell I had a construction project just completed.
And of course-final product-LOVE my new deck. Cannot wait for next ‘deck season’

If the other reviews are true then these homeowners didn't have an underground cable damaged by FA Outdoor Spaces. They didn't have their power out til Dominion could come and find out what the problem was and put up a temporary fix. Then wait until Dominion could fix the problem which tooks weeks before they got started A big hole was dug in my backyard and nobody came again and when they did I was told the HVAC had to be moved. That was removed and I was without AC all day until they moved it back the next day. While Dominion was working I was without power again. This has caused me a lot of my valuable time and a lot of stress.

I have sent FA OUTDOOR SPACES a certified letter with copies of the payments I made to A-AAnnandale.

We paid FA Outdoor Spaces over 18 thousand dollars to remove an old deck, fence, and shed and put up a new deck and fence. I wish now I had never trusted a neighbor's recommendation that this was a good company. From the looks of the work they did for her I can't believe she is happy either. FA Outdoor spaces cut my Cox cable. The same company cut my neighbor's Cox Cable.Both of us had to wait for Cox to come and fix it. But it got worse. FA Outdoor Spaces cut my underground cable. Dominion Energy came and did a temporary fix. They told me the HVAC had to be moved out of the way in order for this to be fixed at a cost of $1200. Dominion doesn't do concrete work so now I have concrete removed and need to hire someone to fill in a bare spot.
FA Outdoor spaces doesn't care to respond to emails . It took more than once to get them to send info we needed for tax purposes. It also took more than once to get help with the lousy way the fence door was put on so I could use the locks. And when the stairs lights were not working I got no response until I copy and paste info that Fairfax Co requires .
The gate door is fixed but who knows how long that will last. There is a small box where Simon showed me if the lights go out again. I should have been told about this when that work was finished.
I would not recommend this co. Thumbs down!

The owner called me and says Dominion Energy probably is why the cable went bad. Guess he believes Cox is at fault for his company cutting the cable at my house and a neighbors. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY SHAWN AND REFUND THE $1200 WE PAID TO MOVE THE HVAC so the cable could be replaced. And stop making excuses for why your employes don't respond to emails. Nobody should have to beg to get a respond. ESPECIALLY when the company has just been paid over $18 thousand dollars!

NEVER TRUST A COMPANY THAT HAS ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS. MANY CAN BE FAKE!

I hope Shawn the owner likes that I have posted my review on many Facebook groups and other places on the internet. Also told a neighbor who is considering getting a new deck to beware of this company. Shawn doesn't take responsibility for his workers careless work.

Here is a picture where the underground cable is and where Dominion had to dig in order to fix the problem. It was FA Outdoor Spaces workers who dug the hole where they put the post. Does it really look like Dominion didn't put the line in the right place like Shawn the owner of FA Outdoor Spaces claims ? He should refund the $1,200 we paid in order to have the HVAC moved and put back in place. Because Dominion couldn't do the work with it being in the way!

FA Outdoor Spaces did a good job installing the new deck. The company can improve by completing any custom add-ons (for example, exterior moldings) or cosmetic touch-ups (painting) in a timely manner with much closer supervision of the workers. After the decking was installed, it took many weeks for them to finish these final parts of the job, which were completed piecemeal in multiple trips and became frustrating. If add-ons are desired, be prepared that it may take a while to get them done.

Joe and David did an amazing job on my deck! They replaced boards and painted and it looks brand new. They also designed a custom door to protect my basement stairs and built it beautifully. They were super easy to work with, highly responsive and thoughtful about the work. Would definitely recommend!
