Review:
This is hands down the worst Joann’s I’ve ever stepped foot in. Shelves are consistently bare, making it impossible to find anything. The checkout process is a nightmare—only one cashier trying to manage a line of 19 frustrated customers. This wasn’t a one-off experience either; this is the second time I’ve visited in the last month, and it’s been the same disaster each time.

To make matters worse, the manager was wandering around folding fabric and checking his phone while another employee aimlessly tapped boxes together—meanwhile, chaos unfolded in the store. Where are the district managers? Does anyone even oversee this location? This place feels like a step above a disorganized thrift store at best. I won’t be back—there are better options than dealing with this mess.

I have never been treated so poorly by a “customer service” representative as I was today at Joann’s on Bloomington. As she was walking back to her work area after speaking to me rudely, I decided to ask her name to report her to management and turned back toward her. As I approached, she was talking loudly to another employee about “some customer”, which was me. I was calm and asked her for her name and she looked where her name tag was supposed to be and told me she forgot, then told me her coworker wasn’t allowed to tell me either. Mind you, I’d been all over the store and saw 3 workers total. I stood in a long line to pick up an online order and called corporate, which is a remote worker who went through a script. At the counter I asked for management and the young man told me it was him. He said he’d write her up so she would get retraining. I asked how he knew who I was talking about and he said, “Oh, I know.”
I’ll never go back to this store. If I were management, I’d have fired her on the spot, but Joann’s can’t keep employees because they’re a horrible company, so therefore have to keep the garbage.

This store has great stuff! But oh my gosh.... it's a disaster... I've never seen such a dirty messy store in all of my life.. I hope they get a better manager here to get this place tidied up because.. It was really disgusting, a few years ago I went here and it didn't look so bad! So the only thing I can think is it's a really bad manager. It looks like it was robbed and left to rot for years ? just crazy

Awful customer service. They lost my curb-side pickup order - I sat in the parking space 15 min after checking in and then called to see if someone would be coming out soon…finally, someone brought me a bag—not mine, then they proceeded to search another 20 min for my order that said was ready forget pickup but couldn’t find it. They didn’t offer any resolution (just shrugged and said they couldn’t find it). I called later and spoke to the manager who’s only answer for me was that I should see a credit in a few days for not picking the order up…not even an offer to pull stock to fulfill it. I tried to contact headquarters for assistance and their phone system wasn’t working - the AI kept hanging up on me…I reached out via the feedback section on their website several times with no response. I gave up trying to get my order and can only hope I get that credit.

This is the worst Joannes I’ve ever seen! Apparently it is managed horribly since some aisles are full of items to be stocked, you can’t find anything - I couldn’t even find a crochet needle, the whole aisle was empty and very few staff to help. One staff member at check out called for the manager and no one came? Prices were not the same as advertised. What a mess and such a shame since I would love to give them the business but guess it’s Hobby Lobby from now on. Get a new manager!!!

Joann is a good store for any art and craft projects. It includes drawing and painting supplies. And supplies for knitting. The store was well stocked, clean, and spacious. And I had no trouble finding what I came there for. And the customer service was good, the employee greeted me when I arrived. Overall, I recommend coming to Joann for art and craft needs.

I found more than I thought I needed and had a great time buying Christmas decor early. Good sales and an early large supply. Course, the cashier line was longer than some can handle - but, it was a short Joann's Checkout Line. Lol

This store location is a joke. Disorganized shelves, understaffed and Bad customer service with unprofessional staff. Left me on hold for 10 minutes all for a simple question, mean while I heard every interaction the cashier was having while keeping me on “hold”. Helped about 8 customers all while making me wait…Online stock is never accurate so don’t even waste your time placing an order… it will all be cancelled anyways. I’ll stick to hobby lobby for now on.
