Serious fail. I reserved a car as I brought my car to a mechanic. When I got to the location there was a sign on the door saying be back in 40min. No idea when the 40 minutes started but I sat there waiting for 1.5 hours until another customer showed up and he drove us both to Enterprise to get cars. The number doesn’t work when you press to speak to someone. Enterprise was great!

Very friendly staff. Help get me in a rental car quickly when my company car was in the shop. They even came and picked me up and dropped me off at the start and end of my rental at the dealership where my car was at.

This location is ok. Some of the employees I’ve encountered are very rude and lazy. One particular employee is what brought the stars up since she was very nice and was my best experience I’ve had there. Another particular employee that I don’t know his name was very rude to me and came off very lazy. My car is in the shop and I use AAA since it’s cheaper so I just will get a new rental vs extending. Well he at first wanted me to keep the current vehicle (this car clearly needed maintenance so I said I’d prefer a new car). Well he didn’t believe me and seemed annoyed he had to check if it really did. Turns out I was right and he ended up getting me a different vehicle. The only reason I come back here is because AAA only goes through hertz for discounts.

Amazing pick up experience! Dan and his coworkers are super friendly and professional. We have a family day trip up north and they set us up with an awesome Pacifica! First impressions with this car are great, I’m fairly certain this car is brand new! If not, it’s extremely well maintained. Thanks fellas! Keep up the great work.

Julia helped me in getting my rental. She was super kind, helpful, and offered nice conversation during the moments of silence where she was doing behind the scenes work to get my rental up and running. The car rental was mostly clean, though there were three past rental papers in the center console, outside of this everything was great. The car had a maintenance request on my return to the facility but it ended up working out fine and with no issues.

Prepaid for a vehicle. Scheduled to pick up at 10 am, but didn't make it there until 1 or so, so they supposedly rented my vehicle out to someone else (I was told that they do a lot of rentals for auto repair and they absolutely never make those customers wait, this is where my vehicle allegedly went). I suspect that the vehicle was never actually there, because the gal then slipped up and said they were expecting vehicles early that morning, but they hadn't shown up yet. They told me that there would be an SUV there by 2, so I came home, went back up around 2, still no SUV. They did try to call, but I missed the call. They finally found a mini van for me, but had to wait another 2 hours. Called corporate and left a message with someone-they never returned my phone call. Only thing I got out of this whole mess was pre paid refill on gas and an upgrade to a minivan-which the guy had to make sure he told me that he was doing for free. I would never use Hertz again. I never had problems with Enterprise or Budget.

Editing to add that I did email to the response below, and nobody ever contacted me back. What a ridiculous company.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible customer service. The car I was given smelled of cigarette smoke and weed. I was not allowed a new car and could not change companies as the insurance company of the woman who totaled my car would only work with this location.
After buying my new car and confirming 3 times that I could drop off the rental at the dealership, leave the keys with reception, and they would come get the car; they still charged me 3 days worth of a rental. They let the car sit at the dealership because they "didn't have a spot in their lot to park it." I told them the dealership is not their parking lot and that the car needed to be picked up that day. I also verified that I would not be charged for them leaving the car there for 3 days and this was confirmed twice. Then, here I find out 3 months later that they charged me for the 3 days it sat at the dealership, 2 whole months after I had returned the car.
I then called the corporate office, the woman was extremely rude and never apologized. She said I would get a letter within 7-10 business days with a ruling on if they would overturn it. I never received that, and they only reimbursed about 60% of the charge that I was not supposed to be charged! I've been running around playing phone tag with no luck.
Terrible experience, never go to HERTZ, especially not this location or Brooklyn Center. I will gladly UBER or borrow a family car then work with your rude, interrupting, unprofessional staff and DISGUSTING vehicles.

The negative reviews made me apprehensive about using this Hertz location but with all things considered, I actually had an above average experience. There were two cars left and they let me choose the one I wanted. (Unfortunately both were CVTs and I spent most of my trip complaining about the awful engine but that isn't something Hertz can control.) Originally I was quoted $217 for 5 days but was charged $178 at the end, an extremely welcome surprise. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and overall it was a smooth, painless process.
