Had such a great experience renting a Subaru Solterra here for 2 weeks. I put almost 2k miles on it and it was the perfect car for road trips and sitting in traffic. I booked the reservation 1 week prior. The agent was so awesome and kind offering me such a good rate for being 20yrs old. Will 100% be coming back for reservations.

My experience here was outstanding! The entire crew was amazing especially George! Special thanks to Daisy also, they do it all. If you come here be patient as the crew wears many hats (customer service, car wash/clean, return) If you need a car rental get it here!

Very bad experience with Hertz for 2 times. This company is filled with lies. First time I use hertz booked a travel for 30$ per day online. But when I arrive in the store it becomes 70$. And agent there promised to give me a fully charged EV but resulted in a vehicle of only 30% charge.

Horrible customer service, I booked a Tesla online and prepaid for the car but when I got there the agent told me she can't provide me a Tesla at all because it's only for insurance bookings.
The other EV they provided me was dirty, there was dog hair everywhere and dirt on the dashboard. Also they refused to reimburse my prepaid amount.

Never EVER rent Hertz and especially not here. A LITERAL SCAM. I made a reservation well in advance and they tried to charge me an extra $120 a day. When I was walking out they said "what about just an extra $10?"

This is not a negotiation, you can't try to scam me and then deal when I reject it. Their customer service will never pick up.

Budget or Enterprise is much better.

Note: They auto respond with form reply to bad reviews. Don't think it means anything. First, if they actually cared theyd write the reply themselves. Second and most importantly, their "support" will go nowhere and have you wasting time for nothing. Dear Hertz, you are a SCAM.

BLOOD IN THE CAR. After getting on the freeway, we looked up and saw that there was blood on the ceiling of the car. Tried calling the office multiple times with no answer and therefore no resolution. Hertz corporate said they could not help and we had to work it out with the local office.

This was besides the car being generally more dirty than what is expected in a rental car, being asked to extract the car from between 3 cars in the tiny parking lot with about 6 inches of space on either side, and a dirty office.

I can’t speak on behalf of all the employees because the ones I met the first day of my rental were very professional.

On my return date (one week later) there was a shorter guy working alone and he mentioned he usually works at the Santa Monica location, but was working here for some reason.

I come 15 minutes before my drop-off time (5pm, also closing time) because I want to give a little leeway time before they close up, and the guy points at me says I can give him the keys, he asks me some questions checks the car then says he’ll just email me the receipt (then proceeds to help someone else).

2 days later I get my receipt and I’m charged an extra day plus a late fee!?!?! I hope he doesn’t do this with other customers and with anything, always look at the receipt and maybe wait the extra 5-10 minutes to confirm the fees are correct. It’s more of hassle to call hertz and get the refund back which is what I had to do.

Always look at your receipts and I hope this team ensures they’re really trying to give people the best prices and not take advantage of people.
