Heidi is such an incredible healer! Not only is she gifted in what she practices, but she is genuinely invested in the well-being of her clients. It is so apparent how she truly cares about them- not just the symptoms she's helping alleviate, but in all facets of their lives, and that kind of relationship is integral in this work. The staff and fellow practitioners follow suite and are always friendly, warm, and welcoming. I'm so grateful to have found Kwai Fah!

Several weeks ago I came into knowledge that left my body bedridden for 2 days. I felt like a steamroller had smashed me. I've been doing the spiritual work to pick my soul up and amazing body / light work with my acupuncturist Heidi Shimko .Lots of all types of emotions moving through me. For months before my body had already shut down. Opening my heart chakra during sun salutations felt unsafe. ,sleeping was painful. I couldn't understand why.

Upon hearing the news that I recieved, my body went into shut down. My mood wavered. I had good days and FOUL days. But through my spiritual practices, self care, and community its love, I felt good...but something was still blocked. My body was not letting me move forward. It was holding g on to stored trauma I did realize was collecting in my hip space. Then yesterday I had a form of massage called Tuina. I AM WHOLE AGAIN. The minute my therapist stretched my hips I started crying... I was releasing stored darkness. Stretched, massaged, pulled, and twisted me...it took a while to process everything. I got off the table and it was like my spirit and body caught up to themselves within the time space continuum.

Something is different now. I was sad yesterday after the sesssion but it left immediately bc it was like there was nothing for it to stick; it processed itself out of my body on its own!!!!

Long story short. Your body is protecting you even when you don't think there is anything to be protected from. Your body freaking knows! If you wanna feel like I feel see Nisa and Heidi at Olive Blossom Acupuncture Clinic .

What sets Heidi apart is that in addition to her expertise in acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, and herbal medicine, she has an extradordinary ability to tune in to her clients--body, mind, and spirit. She works WITH (vs. "on" or "at") people, which makes a huge difference. Unlike some assembly-line acupuncture clinics, Heidi's practice is customized to the needs of each individual who comes to her, from intake to exit.

Among Heidi's healing gifts to me has been some mind-blowing, body-restructuring Reiki. Another has been her sense of humor, which invited laughter into our therapeutic process. I'm delighted to have found her!

Where do I even begin...

Kwai Fah should be on EVERY list Chicago has to offer— idk if it’s about the best pizza place. It should read, “Get pizza from xyz, then head over to Kwai Fah to... fix your whole life, basically.” Finding a holistic home should be on everyone’s to do list; I’ll save you the time and tell you that this is it.

I stumbled upon Kwai Fah by grabbing a flyer off of one of those ‘everybody put your flyers/publications/notices/business cards here’ tables in a local shop. I can’t thank the gawds enough for making me sift through the papers. The flyer was for a Pay What You Can clinic— if you know anything about holistic medicine, you know that the *true* practitioners want EVERYONE to experience health and wellness. A pwyc clinic allows that.

I don’t want to write a book here— because I totally could, about my experiences and the benefits I’ve received, but you should come experience them for yourself. I consider JR a part of my family now and wish I could just load up a bus of people everyday and bring them to Kwai Fah so they can begin their own personal journeys to health & internal harmony.
