Wir sind aus Deutschland zu Besuch bei unserer Familie hier und waren beim Oregon State Fair. Es ist wie unser Volksfest in Deutschland, nur ein kleines bisschen größer noch. Unterschied ist, in Deutschland müssen wir für jedes Fahrgeschäft einzeln bezahlen. Hier beim State Fair kann man einmalig 60$ (60€) bezahlen und kann jedes Fahrgeschäft fahren und das so oft man will, zudem sind auch noch 3 Spiele frei (Entenfischen, Luftballon schießen, usw.). Das Essen ist wie bei uns auch teuer, aber sogar noch teurer. Bei uns zahlen wir für einen Hot Dog 5€, hier 8$ (8€), was schon sehr sehr teuer ist. Dafür gibt es hier überall immer wieder Handwaschstationen, was wirklich cool ist. Hier gibt es auch noch ganz viele „Wettbewerbe“ mit Tieren und aber auch bei Kuchen Kunst usw. Ich bin kein Fan von Tier Zucht, für eine Auszeichnung, aber den Tieren geht es immerhin besser, als in den Massenqualzucht Stellen. Aber wegen den Tier Wettbewerben ziehe ich leider einen Stern ab. Ansonsten wäre das Fest für mich bei 5 Sterne. Wir haben knapp 6 Stunden dort verbracht, man kann einfach so viel sehen.

We are visiting family from Germany and we were at the Oregon State Fair. It's like our folk festival in Germany, just a little bit bigger. The difference is that in Germany we have to pay for each ride individually. Here at the State Fair you can pay a one-time fee of $60 (€60) and ride any ride as often as you want, and there are also 3 free games (duck fishing, balloon shooting, etc.). The food is expensive, like ours, but even more expensive. We pay €5 for a hot dog here, $8 (€8) here, which is very, very expensive. But there are always hand washing stations everywhere, which is really cool. There are also a lot of "competitions" with animals and also with cake art, etc. I'm not a fan of animal breeding, for an award, but the animals are better off than in the mass tormented breeding places. Unfortunately, I'm deducting a star because of the animal competitions. Otherwise it would be 5 stars for me. We spent almost 6 hours there, there is just so much to see.

I went in the summer for the first time and was blown away by the sheer scale and activities available at the fair. I was there on a weekday and everything was open. It was really busy walking around due to the concert that was taking place that evening but there are more than enough places to see. Even though it was quite busy, parking was not too big of an issue where I waited in line for a few minutes to turn in and then an attendant guided me to a parking spot. Furthermore the attendants selling the tickets were super nice and were very helpful with answering questions and providing resources and recommendations. If you are near the area for the state fair I would recommend checking it out.

Everything was well organized from start to end. I was very impressed with how the parking structure was! There's staffs to direct you were to park 🚙🛻

I am very grateful for how the fair had a 'Heroes Day' to recognize veterans/healthcare workers and provided free admissions to their families 💖🥰 Thank you so much! And for the recognition! 💝

Of course, the food and rides are expensive. There are tons of selections of food to choose from! Yummmm! 😋🤤🍿🌮🍔🍕🌭🥨🥩

And Twinkle Time performed today! She gave out free autographs... which was very nice of her and her band! I also bought her hat--also signed by her and her band! 🥰🤩

I'd definitely go again next year! 😊

Always a great time at the fair. Lots of amazing food, weather was nice (bring sunblock!). The wait for rides wasn't too long when I went so my nephew got to go on each multiple times. I did get to watch them use a crane to fix one ride, that was pretty entertaining.

We had so much fun today ! Haven't been to State Fair in years and really looked forward to today...Yes the Food prices are high but was fully prepared for this...spent several hours enjoying the sites and sounds ..Then attended our main event...Foreigner Concert @ the Amphitheater 💞🎶🎸 OMG ! They still Rock & sounded excellent! The L B Day Amphitheater is an excellent choice for great outdoor concerts! Been to quite a few here ..the sound is great ..excellent view wherever one sits..plus the Staff are very efficient on crowd control..easy in & out. Still Rockin after all these years ! The Concert sold out & all seats filled !

I’ve been going to the fair ever since I was a kid when I was younger. I was all about the rides now that I’m much older. I enjoy going to the different indoor spaces to see all the creative artwork and learn different things about our environment.

The fair has so much to offer hands-down, the best fair in the northwest

Having spent many years taking my sons to the Texas State Fair, I can say with confidence that the Oregon State Fair puts on a great event. It's larger than we expected, parking was super easy and close, and there's a ridiculous number of food options, including the standards (corn dogs, funnel cakes & turkey legs), as well as Korean corn dogs, fried pretty much everything, lots of Mexican food, and of course Dole Whip. Try a Fat Schlag's hand-dipped corn dog -- you won't regret it (and I'm a Fletcher's die hard).

Our boys are grown, so we came for the nostalgia, but there's a ton of rides and midway games for the kiddos. 🎡 🎢

Come early and it's cool and uncrowded. 👍🏼

Come to the Oregon state fair and experience all of the magic. It's fun-filled with excitement for the whole family. There's lots of animals, and there's lots of rides.. even the fair lift. And don't forget the fair food.
